ADAMS BRACE ENOUGH TO SEE OFF AVONVALE

Tavs welcomed Avonvale to the OHMG on Saturday as they looked to continue their unbeaten run of games.

Tavs dominated the early stages as Avonvale struggled with the earlier Kick Off time starting the game with only 9 men for the first 15 minutes, despite this Tavs were unable to capitalise on and saw few good chances from Avonvale's counter attack narrowly go wide if the goal.

Just after the rest of the Avonvale team turned up Tavs were awarded a freekick just outside of the area, a fumbled save from Louis Wilkins delivery found Kyle Adams follow up and tuck away the rebound 1-0 Tavs.

Tavs now dominating play with some beautiful passing football found Adams in enough space to test the keeper from range which took a unfortunate deflection sending the keeper to the opposite post as the ball crept into the goal 2-0 Tavs

Avonvale were unlucky to have a goal chalked off for offside as some well worked pass and move football found them slip through the defence.

Tavs regained control of the game and Dean Neale burst into life passing 2 players before unleashing a cross from the goal line unfortunate for the Avonvale defender who managed to volley the ball into the top corner of the goal 3-0 Tavs.

Half Time 3-0

After half time Tavs failed to control the game in the oppositions half as the defense dealt with wave after wave of attacks. Avonvale were awarded a penalty when their striker weaved into the box and making contact with a solid Mike Thornton unfortunately the ref deemed the contact enough to award the foul. A well taken Penalty was to much for Wilkins to keep out 3-1 Tavs.

15 minutes to go Tavs made some tactical defensive changes to release some of the pressure and see out the game until the fulltime.

Full Time 3-1 Tavs
