TAVS TRIUMPH AGAINST TOUGH TUFFLEY

Taverners welcomed Tuffley 3rds to the Owen Harris Memorial Ground on Tuesday night which proved to be a big test for Tavs. Initially Tuffley dominated large periods of the first half but Tav's defence was resistant to anything thrown their way.

In the 37th minute Kyle Adam's pressure from the front saw him steal the ball from the Tuffley defender on the halfway line which found him one on one with the goalkeeper 40yards out with still so much to do Adam's kept his cool a slotted the ball between the keepers legs into the back of the net

Half Time 1-0 Tavs

Second Half Tavs grew with confidence and managed to keep the ball for longer periods being a constant threat in front of the Tuffley goal however they couldn't put their chances away.

On the 63rd minute Dean Neale's determination and strength saw him pull back a neat pass after a mazey run to the by line for Kyle Adams to place into the bottom corner of the goal.

5 minutes later Tuffley scored after well taken shot from just inside the box.

Tavs then made a few changes unfortunately a fresh Harry Bennett who was slow off the mark conceded a penalty, However this was no match for Connor Wilkins who palmed away Tuffley's effort

Tuffley maintained their possession in the latter stages to no avail.
