Tavs continued winning ways with a well fought victory over Longlevens 3rds this Saturday. Both teams battled well for the first 20 minutes with Longlevens creating the best of the earlier chances but were denied by some quality goalkeeping by Connor Wilkins. Tavs were first to find the net when Longlevens failed to clear their lines from a corner which landed to the feet of Louis Wilkins who jinked past a opposing player and placed a wonderful 35yrd strike into the goal. Tavs went onto create more chances but failed to capitalize.
Half Time 1-0 Tavs
Longlevens came out fighting in the second half and were dominant for the first 15 minutes and were rewarded with a scrappy goal mouth scramble which ended up in the net. Longlevens continued to heap pressure on the Tavs defence but Mike Thornton, Jamie Bish, Luke Davison and Ethan Moulden were on form to deal with it. Tavs then went on to find their feet again and cut through the Longlevens defence where some clumsy defending saw Tavs awarded a penalty. Dean Neale's strike was parried onto the post by the keeper but a alert Freddie Searle followed it in and cut the ball back for Neale to score. With 10 minutes left Tavs made some defensive changes to see the game out.
Full time 2-1 Tavs
